The Vans Sk8-Hi WP Insulation (100g) is a rugged, weatherized revision of the iconic high-top skate shoe, optimized to handle the unpredictable challenges of cold, wet winter environments. Built as part of the specialized Made for the Elements (MTE) collection, the upper utilizes a high-durability blend of leather, water-resistant suede, and tear-resistant ripstop textile. Under the surface, it features a complete HydroGuard® 360º waterproof membrane package to seal out slush and rain while managing interior airflow. Thermal performance is driven by a lightweight layer of 100-gram PrimaLoft® Pure synthetic insulation, meticulously mapped to mimic the trapping properties of natural down without absorbing moisture. Underfoot comfort is handled by a signature UltraCush™ drop-in foam footbed for impact absorption. The boot is anchored by a high-traction All-Trac cold-weather rubber compound, featuring a specialized lug profile engineered with eco-conscious recycled and regenerative materials to provide a reliable grip on frozen pavements and slick surfaces.
